Xmas Tree’s & Negotiating

We have a fantastic Christmas Tree in the sitting room but of late my skills have been pretty good in grabbing the odd little present or toy from Mummy & Daddy even though Santa will soon be here.

Therefore I thought it was the perfect opportunity to chance my arm and see if I could get a Christmas Tree in my bedroom. First answer back from the ‘rents was a straight NO but then Dad quickly caved in and said yes! Woohoo!

As you can see from the above photo me and Dad were on very different wave lengths, it seems I should have added “negotiating skills” to my list for Santa!

Yep, its that time of year when the photographer pays his annual visit to the school and tries his best! Mum & Dad love this one, so perhaps a career in the world of models if I don’t land the Dr Who role.

Bob The Builder & The Golden Hammer

Cinema outing! Yep, I was taken off to Vue in Cambridge and trusted to sit quietly through Bob The Builder & The Golden Hammer, which I can happily report that I did, even if I do have suspicions that Mummy & Daddy were keeping me quiet with a mixture of Pick’n’Mix and Fruit Shoot.

So whats it all about then? Let me bring you up to speed… Bob & the team, in their new home of Fixham Harbour set to work tackling exciting new building jobs and making some new friends. But when Spud and Scrambler learn of an amazing treasure – the pirate Brickbeard’s Golden Hammer – hidden somewhere in Fixham they decide that building can wait and they must find the hammer to give to Bob!

Follow the clues through the film and you’ll find the treasure! Sherlock Holmes I maybe yet!

A Day Out At Duxford

On May 9th I headed over to Duxford Imperial War Museum with Mum & Dad for a nose around golden oldies like the Spitfire through to new stuff like the Eurofighter. Now this is one packed out place with things like the beast that is the Vulcan Bomber taking centre floor and A10 Tankbusters hanging from the ceiling, can only think that they got some of those big old WWE wrestlers in to help move this lot about and put it in place!

Of course I couldnt resist a look around Concorde which was absolutely gleaming, the cabin is well kitted out with all their old test equipment which means lots of buttons! (none of which I was allowed to press!). Now here’s a little bit of history for you, Concorde is quite special in our family, not just because it looked good and shifts faster than Usain Bolt but because Daddy used to work on it and my Great Grandad helped design and build its nose, clever old boys!

Its not just planes up at Duxford, theres loads of tanks aswell and other army things like rocket launchers aswell as things you can try on like army hats and even guns (all chained down and not possible to cart off in my buggy!)

Although Concorde is special I think that Daddy’s favourite up there is definitely the SR71 Blackbird, he has a little one on his desk as well. Have to confess that the way it looks and being the fastest plane ever is a good enough reason for me to want to get inside the cockpit and see what she can do :)

We stopped in at the restaurant (compliments to the chef), had some fun on the playpark (hats off to the Monkey Bridge) and I raided the shop on the way out (2 little tanks added to my toybox). All in all I had a rather good time and definitely recommend a visit!

“Standard Chartered” Josh

Yes, that is correct, I am now “Standard Chartered” Josh - always try and keep with the trends and even set a few myself, these things are important to a toddler. Can’t let the girlfriend think I am getting sloppy!

Its been a better week for me with Liverpool then it has been for the club and its owners, my toddler membership arrived through in the post a couple of days ago, just waiting for the free gifts to turn up - Im trying to be patient, I have only chased them up twice on email so far.

And now of course its new kit time, just a quick snap for now and I’ll get a KWALITY shot for you all very soon :) All ready for the new season and keeping an eye out for new recruits!

Bure Valley Railway

On Sunday I went to Bure Valley Railway for a ride or two on some steam trains, which was excellent! If you follow me on Twitter then you will know that I love trains!

We caught the first narrow gauge train “The Blickling Hall” at Aylsham in Norfolk and then we had a nice 9mile run to Wroxham for a little look round the shops, which all seemed to be owned by some bloke called Roy, apart from McDonalds… saying that I didnt ask who the manager was there!

We had a little look around The Broads, saw lots of baby ducks and then caught “Thunder” back to the car. Really enjoyed shouting “All Aboard” when we were ready to leave, they could see from my cap I was the engine driver so everyone did as they were told!

I’ll post some more pics of the trains a little later :)

Meet Rhino!

Say Hi to Rhino! My new little Hamster :)

Rhino arrived home on Saturday morning and is a baby Syrian hamster. He’s a little bit crazy, loves rolling around the house in his ball and has already moved all his bedding from his little house to his tubes, with a pile of food for a midnight snack. Perhaps he is keeping the house clear in case he has guests over?

Patcha likes to sit on the floor below his cage and look at it, I am still deciding whether she wants to play with him or just have him for lunch but she is behaving herself at the moment.

He’s a little cutie!

Red Motorbike

Well this working hard at school plan really was a very good idea… Especially if this is the kind of thing that comes at the end of it!

Me & Daddy popped out to complete a little mission that I am going to tell you about in my next post and while we were out (with Mummy out of the way!) Daddy took me on a little detour to Toys’r’us and we came out with this little beauty as well as the new Doctor Who figures. Result!

I am over the moon with this but I somehow get the idea that Daddy might have been told off by Mummy. No change there then!

Meeting The Daleks!

Well I had a rather excellent surprise when I came out of nursery last Friday as Daddy had arranged for Mummy to take me to one of his clients who has Daleks and a Tardis! It was so cool! I found out that Daddy has already asked for first refusal on the Tardis if the Doctor ever needs to park it somewhere else.

I did try and have a little nose round inside to see if it was really as big as it looks on the TV but sadly the Doctor was sleeping and I wasnt allowed to go inside but maybe next time :(

The only problem is that I do really need a Dalek and a proper Tardis now, I need to come up with a plan. Daddy apparently already has a plan for a Tardis at our house but at the moment he isn’t letting me in on it!

School Report!

Well its that time of year when my school report, ok, nursery report, arrives with Mummy & Daddy… do I have anything to fear?

I spoke to Dad about this a while back and he says when it comes down to it I have a couple of options… a) Behave myself and work hard… b) Make sure the teacher knows Im a 3yr old with a blog and Im not afraid to use it if she doesnt deliver the goods!

Well I decided that option A was a good route to take, go with it and see how it pans out and then I always have Plan B in the back pocket for when its really needed :) And the good news is that I chose right!

My school report was first class, even my relationship with Sophie got a mention, sure they will be telling Heat Magazine about it next, cant keep anything to themselves! Got myself a few toys and a train ride out of it (tell you about those later) so will continue down this route for the time being. It keeps Santa sweet for later in the year aswell!
